Alison is an equestrian on a tight budget, inspiring the creation of this blog. She is a final year graduate student, working on a masters degree in Library and Information Science. She has a taste for expensive tack and riding apparel, but without the funds to back up my addiction. Alison has learned how to be creative in the ways that she spends money on her horse – from buying high quality items on consignment to learning how to make bonnets. This blog going to detail thrifty tips and tricks, as well as review products and companies.
Alison has one horse, an Appendix mare named Tessa. They currently compete in the jumpers and low-level eventing and are planning on moving up to beginner novice next season. She also loves hunter paces! Alison’s team team is the four year defending champion of the fast division at the Rocky Fork Headley Hunt Hunter Paces.
